Katherine Hunter

Hunter is a Senior at John Jay College of Criminal Justice graduating this spring. She majored in Culture, Crime, and Deviance Studies but has found her passions in the arts. Always an avid writer, she chose to take the Creative Nonfiction Writing course offered at John Jay for the sheer enjoyment and curiosity as to what creative nonfiction really was. In it she found a new love for both the craft of memoir writing and literary journalism. Post-grad she plans on continuing with these crafts as well as continuing with her first loves: poetry and playwriting. Her one act will be featured this October in the New York Winterfest Theater Festival and she will be working to promote arts education for all this summer at her Education Program Fellowship at Little Island.
