Sha-Shanna OsbourneAs Sha-Shanna Osbourne nears the end of her college journey, she's so grateful for the experiences that she's encountered thus far. Discovering the world of creative nonfiction (and memoir) has been a revelation, allowing her to revisit the wonderful memories that make up her childhood, memories that are infused with laughter as well as the flavors and aromas of Jamaican and Trinidadian cuisine. An avid lover of anything curried, the taste and smell instantly transports her to moments of warmth and joy. When she's not reflecting on her family or food-filled adolescence, you can find her somewhere in nature. Sha-Shanna is a lover of plants and could lose hours roaming around various plant shops in the city. For her, nature is not only refueling but inspiring and grounding. When she seeks inspiration of a different kind, she wanders the halls of the Brooklyn Museum, where art becomes a gateway to worlds both familiar and foreign. She considers herself to be a lifelong learner and finds joy in anything that sparks her curiosity and allows her to explore new avenues of understanding.
