Jade HamiltonJade is a senior at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She was born in New York and raised in Virginia and South Carolina, so she has the heart of a Southern with the pace of a native New Yorker. She is majoring in English with a minor in Gender Studies and a sideline fantasy of being a writer. She has the aspiration of continuing her education in English Literature to eventually become a college professor. When she’s not writing her own life story, her hobbies include spending hours playing the Sims 4, listening to music, and trying new food spots with her friends. This story won an award at John Jay’s English Department Awards for Best Piece of Creative Nonfiction!
