Mackenzie FingerhutMackenzie is a 22-year-old Jersey original and Masters student at John Jay. Her minor in creative writing during her undergraduate years inspired the strength to share this writing of previous struggles. She wrote this piece detailing the dysfunction related to addiction, recovery, and love. She hopes the approach of humor and honesty will eliminate the stigma of addiction. She wants to thank her previous Life Stories (Fall 2017) class and Non-Fiction (Spring 2021) for the incredible support and camaraderie.
