Reana

Reana, an immigrant from St. Lucia who is in her third year at John Jay, is pursuing her Bachelor's in English, hoping to work as an editor for novels at a publishing company. In recent years, she found an interest in politics and social activism when she realized that they affect her, too. It doesn’t matter if it’s directly or indirectly. She never considered herself a writer--more someone who helps other people with their writing--but after taking Professor Madrazo’s Creative Nonfiction class, she found herself enjoying writing her own stories and wanting to continue writing herself. She hopes her writing will continue to bring to light issues that we face in our society.
